President John Burford called the meeting to order at l:00 p.m. Fifteen members and guests attended.
John open the meeting by discussing the Oregon Recreational Committee and closures of areas in Oregon.
OPLAC
Rod Becker, OPLAC Northwest discussed that an Ashland Company has been buying ranches and blocked off areas and not letting anyone in which includes about l5 gold mines, a discussion followed.
Marian contacted Don and Ellnora Young to see if they would continue to be OPLAC Southwest and they agreed to continue that position.
ALAA
Rod Becker and Dan Zaiss should be getting the ALAA bulletin.
OCRMC Reports
John Burford discussed that Don Young will not be able to take the Vice President position due to other obligations. Does anyone have any suggestions who might take that position. Paul Heesacker volunteered to be Vice President for 2006. A motion was made and second to appoint Paul as Vice President.
Beth Heesacker, Treasurer discussed that the committee to redo the By-Laws and that she has had so much other things that the committee did not have a chance to finish going over them. She is sorry about the delay but they will have a report at the Spring meeting.
Capitol Case
November 2005 Sweethome Club in until April 2006. Dan Groah is checking with some other clubs in the distant areas that might be able to put in their club display in the Spring and/or Summer.
Spring Meeting
The Spring meeting of the OCRMC will be held on Saturday April 15, 2006, at the Farrel's restaurant next to the Rickreal show fairground. The meeting is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
Oregon Council Trophy
This year's award went to Don and Barbara Brandt from the Mt. Hood Club. Judges were Rod Becker, Lenora Smith and John Burford. The display case had a good variety of all Oregon Material.
