The Fall meeting of Oregon Council was convened on September 29, 2007, at Portland Regional Show

Meeting called to order at l pm by Paul Heesacker. John Burford asked to be released from his office due to health reasons. We hope John will be better soon.

There were 10 people attending. Don and Ellnora Young from Roseburg were ill and could not attend. Also Dan Zaiss was ill ` and could not attend. Hope you all are well soon.

Minutes were read and approved.

Old Business

Roseburg Hemlock Rock area will be reopened.

There was a lengthy discussion about the Saddle Mt. area in Washington.

New Business

Nominating Committee (Paul Heesacker, Troy Smith and Don Innes) reported the slate of candidats for the 2008 Oregon Council officers:

President: Paul Heesacker (Tualatin Valley Gem Club)

Vice President: Lenora Smith (Mt. Hood)

Treasurer: Beth Heesacker (Tualatin Valley Gem Club)

Secretary: Marian Andrus (Eugene Mineral Club)

Direstors: 3 year - Troy Smith (Mt. Hood); 2 year - Don Innes (Far West Lapidary & gem Club); 1 year - Theodore Johnson (Willamette Agate & Mineral Society)

Capitol Showcase

Springfield Club will start October 19, 2007

Oregon Council Trophy

Oregon Council Trophy was awarded to Clay Keene of the Mt. Hood Club. Congratulations.

Next Meeting

A change was made after the meeting. The Spring Meeting will be held at the Sweet Home Show on March 29th, 2008 at l pm.
